Apart from my private practice, I am working as a counsellor in a charity providing counselling services to young people in London. During my years of practice, young adults  have become my favorite population to work with. Although each client's situation is unique, some of the common issues I work with include:

  • Low self-esteem & confidence

  • Anxiety(phobia, general anxiety, panic attack, OCD)

  • Low Mood(with or without a particular reason to feel sad)

  • Self-harming

  • Eating disorders

  • Bereavement & loss(death of a loved one, job loss, breakup or divorce)

  • Sexual orientation/identity

  • Career issues/choices

  • Life changes & adaption(immigration to other country, going to University, getting married)

  • Self development (personal growth, overcoming old habits/ weakness)

Theoretical approach

I normally offer short term therapy over a number of weeks or months if there are specific issues you would like to tackle. However, some people may need long term regular therapy when their cases are more complicated and complex. I  mainly use CBT and humanistic & existential approach for my counselling, either short-term (8-12 sessions) or long term (12 sessions+). Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) offers a way to re-structure your thoughts and develop more balanced ways of thinking and behaving in relation to your issues. It has been proved to be efficient therapy for anxiety, depression, eating disorders and many others. Humanistic & existential therapy, on the other hand, emphasizes that ultimately everyone is seeking a fulfilling and meaningful way of living, therefore everyone has the potential to establish and realize their vision and grow. My task here is to help you become more aware of the choices you have and develop a greater sense of ownership with yourself and your life.
